Overview
The index page is the file that automatically loads when someone visits your domain name. Typically, the term refers to the front page or homepage, if you will, of a website.
Make sure you have an index page stored in your public_html directory, otherwise, your site will not appear correctly. Instead, a 404 not found error will appear in its place.
When creating your index page, you should use one of the following names:
index.html index.php
