If you purchased both your domain and web hosting through Gecko, don’t worry, we would have automatically taken care of this for you.
However, if your domain was pre-purchased somewhere else, you’ll need to update your domain’s DNS settings to point towards your new web hosting server.
How do I do that?
Every domain registrar is different, but you’ll need to login to the same place you purchased your domain from.
Once logged into some sort of account, you should the option to update your domains nameservers.
NOTE: If you are unable to find this section, you’ll need to get in touch with your domain registrar for support.
Once you’ve found the spot to update your nameservers, replace any default or old ones with ours:
When you make changes to nameservers, your domain will remain unavailable for some time – this is called propagation, where your domains settings are updated around the world.
It may take up to 24 hours for this propagation period to complete.
